Palm Springs Modernism Tour App Reviews

Just returned from our first trip to Palm Springs and this app proved invaluable. We loved using it in the car and in preparation before we ventured out for neighborhood walks. Its easy to navigate and go about finding a home or business from many routes: the architect, the area, names of building, etc. The map feature is fantastic. We went from place to place and never felt frustrated. I love the old and new photos, as well as the commentary and fun facts about each project. I dont usually purchase too many apps, but this enhanced our visit so much. I wouldnt hesitate.

This app is so huge that it takes forever to download. Not really of use if youre on the go and cant find a fast wifi connection. Purchased it and didnt get to use it before I left Palm Springs.

This app is amazing. Worth the money. Download was easy, no problem. Very informative.

Gigantic app, so find a coffee shop with wifi for download. App is well designed and has good information on the buildings it features. Not a complete MCM survey, though. Worse, the map feature, which is critical for an efficient tour, doesnt work well in some parts of town. We had limited time in town and too much time was spent nursing the app.

Bought this to do illuminated mid-century modern tour at night based on promo material. Not only is there no special illuminated tour as advertised but many of the buildings on the tour are inexplicably not reviewed on the app. That makes no sense. The reviews of the buildings that are covered are pretty good but how they can leave out so many key buildings on Palm Canyon Dr. is crazy.

Giant download, but worthwhile for self-guided Architectural tour. Maps are buggy, but otherwise a recommended purchase for PS visitors interested in modernism.

Yes this program does download but it takes a very long time, perhaps hours depending on the download speed. Once downloaded it is an excellent introduction to the topic, even if the program is a little buggy. Functionality is good, but it would have been nice to be able to go from thumbnail pictures or map location icons directly to the detailed descriptions of the properties. We did not use this as a real time tour guide. With some planning ahead, patience and fast network internet access this might be possible.

This is a very informative app about P.S. Architecture, but it should be said that very little of the houses can actually be seen from the street. I found it most useful for providing a guide to finding and exploring some of the nicer neighborhoods. Made for a pleasant though slightly disappointing afternoon.

Waiting for 2 hours. Hoped to take this tour but we will be out of PS by the time this loads. Want money back!

This app is literally half way done, does not work properly and should have never been released. There is absolutely no way anyone can use it effectively. Crashes non-stop, does not connect with maps app or work as designed. Also many homes featured are on private roads. Dont waste your money.
